Just add rice cereal....

Every parent says "they grow up so fast" probably 456,000 times as they watch their kids go from dribbling little blobs of gas and giggles, to booty shaking potty-mouthed munchkins, to, oh my lord, something even bigger than that (haven't gotten there yet). For goodness sake, River's doing our landscaping now!
And no more boo boo kisses on invisible owies. Now we're talking rope burns and shin bruises and scraped up everything from dangling precipitously off his rope ladder.

6 months ago this little bugger of a flower refused to leave the comfy confines of my warm and squishy womb. SIX MONTHS! Now she's eating food and sitting up and sending emails...

I'm pretty addicted to these kids. In fact I'm having pre-withdrawals about the mere idea that Magnolia will be moving out of my room soon, but it's going to happen. The paint is dry, the rocking moose is built, and her carefully organized baskets of clothes are just waiting for her to come and dump them out.

There are dolls to be eaten.

I'm a bit obsessed with pictures of my kids. Maybe if I had 20 cats I'd be obsessed with pictures of them too. But the milestones of a kitten are what? Opens eyes, eats Meow Mix, throws it up, sheds, gets old and claws no longer retract? Not very cute. But this? This isn't just cute. It's absolutely beautiful. This family is my life.

Happy 1/2 a year Sugar Magnolia!

You take such beautiful pictures! I'm sure it doesn't hurt that you have two adorable muses to work with.
